Christopher Shennan's Blog

A day in the life of…

A colleague of mine pointed me in the direction of a humorous twitter hashtag of the IT variety which, with being a web developer I found quite amusing, especially on a friday afternoon.  The hashtag was for #htmlmovies.

If you’ve not already guessed, the basic idea is to convey a film is a clever way using html tags such as

<html><head><style>EM{color:#F00;}</style></head><body>The hunt for <em>October</em></body></html>

or

<a href=”javascript:history.forward()”>Back</a>

or my favourite so far:-

<body id=“reality”><embed src=“van”><embed src=“hotel”><embed src=“snow”><embed src=“limbo”></embed></embed></embed></embed>

Can you work them out?

Hopefully it’ll keep going as some of them are really quite good.

    Very amusing, but some people seem to have too much time on their hands to come up with these!

    I think I got them three but I won’t spoil the fun by posting my answers.

    And I’m not enough of an HTML freak to make my owns :).
